Movement is one part of looking after your health. Jamaica’s Ministry of Health & Wellness highlights benefits for the heart, muscles, balance and wellbeing, and provides age-specific physical activity information.
Think about activities that fit your routine and abilities. Walking, dancing and other forms of movement can be part of a conversation about becoming more active. A routine should be realistic for you, rather than based on somebody else’s fitness goals.
If you have a medical condition, reduced mobility or concerns about exercising, ask a clinician for advice before changing your activity. Use the Ministry’s resource below for general information; it is not a personalised exercise prescription.
